About the role 
This is a specialist Salesforce role focused on eCommerce, working closely with business stakeholders to design, configure, and improve online customer experiences across Salesforce Commerce Cloud. You'll help translate business requirements into scalable solutions that enhance how customers browse, purchase, and interact with Standards Australia's digital platforms.

The role sits at the intersection of business and technology, combining stakeholder engagement, solution design, Salesforce configuration, and eCommerce optimisation. You'll be responsible for improving online storefronts, product catalogues, pricing, promotions, customer journeys, and checkout experiences, while ensuring the platform remains secure, reliable, and easy to use.

You'll play a key role in shaping solution design across the Salesforce ecosystem, balancing business requirements, customer experience, scalability, governance, and platform best practice. Working in a configuration-first environment, you'll drive continuous improvement initiatives, support digital adoption, and help deliver seamless eCommerce experiences across both B2B and B2C channels.
 
What you’ll do
You'll work across Salesforce Commerce Cloud and the wider Salesforce ecosystem, collaborating with teams responsible for CRM, revenue management, payments, ordering, and other connected business systems.

While this isn't a development-heavy position, you'll need a solid understanding of Salesforce architecture and enough technical capability to troubleshoot issues, interpret debug logs, understand Apex code, and work effectively with technical teams.

Key responsibilities:

• Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements, facilitate discovery workshops, and design scalable Salesforce and Commerce Cloud solutions that deliver business value.
• Translate business needs into functional designs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and platform enhancements aligned to business priorities.
• Configure and optimise Commerce Cloud capabilities including storefronts, product catalogues, pricing, promotions, merchandising, search, customer journeys, checkout, and order experiences.
• Lead solution design decisions across Salesforce, balancing business objectives, customer experience, platform capability, scalability, security, and maintainability.
• Support end-to-end B2B and B2C commerce journeys and integrations across Commerce Cloud, Salesforce CRM, Revenue Cloud, ERP, payment, and order management platforms.
• Design and maintain Salesforce data structures, security models, sharing frameworks, and governance standards to support current and future business needs.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot platform and automation issues, analyse debug logs, and partner with technical teams to resolve complex problems.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance digital customer experiences, operational efficiency, automation, reporting, and platform adoption.
• Ensure high standards of data quality, platform reliability, security, and compliance with Salesforce and enterprise architecture principles.

You will bringStrong experience delivering Salesforce solutions in a functional, configuration-focused role, with proven expertise across Salesforce Commerce Cloud and digital customer experience platforms. You'll also bring:

• Experience configuring and supporting Salesforce Commerce Cloud (B2B and/or B2C), including storefronts, catalogues, pricing, promotions, merchandising, search, and checkout experiences.
• Strong knowledge of eCommerce processes, customer journeys, online sales optimisation, and digital experience design.
• Demonstrated experience gathering requirements, facilitating workshops, and translating business needs into scalable Salesforce solutions.
• Solid understanding of Salesforce configuration, automation, security, data modelling, reporting, and governance.
• Experience supporting integrations across CRM, commerce, payments, revenue management, ERP, and other enterprise platforms.
• Working knowledge of Revenue Cloud or broader quote-to-cash and revenue lifecycle processes is highly regarded.
• Ability to troubleshoot platform issues using debug logs, developer tools, and basic Apex or SOQL interpretation.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, problem-solving, and continuous improvement skills.
• Salesforce Administrator and Commerce Cloud certifications will be highly regarded.
