Assistant Venue Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Venue Manager to help lead our operations at the Macedon Village Hotel, a vibrant hospitality establishment located in the picturesque town of Macedon, Victoria. As the Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the hotel's daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service and driving the business's strategic growth. This is a full-time position based at our Macedon location.

What you'll be doing

• Manage all aspects of the hotel's operations, including staffing, inventory, budgeting, and compliance

• Provide exceptional customer service and foster a positive, welcoming environment for guests

• Develop and implement strategies to drive revenue growth and improve operational efficiency

• Oversee the recruitment, training, and management of a talented hospitality team

• Ensure the hotel maintains high standards of cleanliness, safety, and service

• Liaise with key stakeholders, including suppliers, regulatory bodies, and the local community

• Contribute to the overall strategic direction of the Macedon Village Hotel

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in a similar hospitality leadership role or wanting to take the next step up in your career

• Minimum 1-2 years of hospitality leadership experience is required

• Excellent customer service skills and a commitment to creating a positive guest experience

• Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of developing and motivating hospitality staff

• Familiarity with hospitality industry regulations and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and compliance

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders

• Passion for the hospitality industry and a desire to contribute to the growth and success of the Macedon Village Hotel
