We’re on the lookout for a passionate and experienced Qualified Chef to join our high-energy, purpose-driven café team in Chermside. Operated by The Prince Charles Hospital Foundation, The Common Good is more than just a café – it’s a vital part of our social enterprise that helps fund life-changing medical research and patient care initiatives.

About the Role

We're on the lookout for a skilled and dedicated Chef to join our team in a busy, high-volume kitchen. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives under pressure, takes pride in presentation, and enjoys working across all sections of a fast-paced kitchen.

About You

· Minimum 3 years' experience as a qualified chef, ideally in a busy commercial kitchen

· Experience in fast-paced kitchen environments

· Strong prep and production experience

· Proven ability to maintain high quality and high presentation standards, even during high-volume service

· Commercially minded and creative, but execution focused

· Solid understanding of food safety and OH&S compliance

· Highly organised with excellent time management skills

· A team player who's happy to work actively across all sections of the kitchen

· Ability to stay calm, efficient, and focused during busy periods

What You'll Be Doing

· Preparing and producing high-quality dishes to a consistent standard

· Working across multiple sections as required

· Maintaining a clean, organised, and compliant kitchen in line with food safety and OH&S standards

· Managing your time and prep efficiently to keep service running smoothly

· Working collaboratively with the kitchen team to deliver consistent, high-volume output without compromising on presentation
