About the role
Summary:
Queensland Ballet is seeking an experienced and highly organised Dance Health Specialist to support the planning, coordination and delivery of our Dance Health programs, including initiatives delivered through our funding partnership with Queensland Health.
Using your specialist ballet and dance knowledge, you will create safe, accessible and engaging dance experiences for people of varied ages, abilities and health circumstances. Programs may include Dance for Parkinson’s, Ballet for Brain Injury, hospital-based Dance Rehab, Dance for Arthritis, community classes and other approved initiatives.
This is a varied role that combines program delivery with operational coordination, administration, resource development, data collection and stakeholder engagement. You may also undertake the function of Lead Teaching Artist for designated Dance Health programs.
This is a non-clinical position. The role does not diagnose health conditions, prescribe treatment or provide medical, clinical, rehabilitation or allied health services.
