Tasmanian Gourmet Seafoods is looking for friendly and reliable casual team members to join us at our Cambridge restaurant and at major events and festivals around Tasmania.

This is a varied, hands-on hospitality role where no two shifts are quite the same. You could be serving customers in our restaurant, helping with a function in our marquee, working from one of our food vans at a summer festival, or assisting the kitchen during a busy service.

• Greet customers and provide friendly, welcoming service

• Take food and beverage orders using our iPad point-of-sale system

• Learn about our menu and Tasmanian seafood so you can confidently answer customer questions

• Serve fresh seafood from our display

• Assist customers purchasing live southern rock lobster from our tank

• Prepare and serve drinks

• Set and clear tables and provide table service

• Assist with dishes and general cleaning throughout the venue

• Help the kitchen with basic food preparation, cooking and plating when required

• Restock fridges, supplies and service areas

• Receive and put away deliveries

• Work in our food vans at selected events and festivals

We’re looking for people who:

• Are friendly, reliable and enjoy working as part of a team

• Can offer us great availability, including weekend and dinner shifts

• Are comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment

• Have a genuine interest in food, hospitality and Tasmanian seafood

• Are available throughout the summer period, including around Christmas and New Year

• Have reliable transport, as there are no regular bus services to our Cambridge venue

• Have, or are willing to obtain, a Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate

Previous hospitality or customer service experience is an advantage but isn't essential. For the right person, attitude, reliability and a willingness to learn are more important than experience.

Tasmanian Gourmet Seafoods is a family-owned Tasmanian business that has been operating for more than 15 years. We work closely with Tasmania's seafood industry and are proud to showcase some of the freshest and finest seafood our island has to offer. We’re well known for our Tasmanian southern rock lobster and have won multiple awards for our cooked seafood, including being recognised for the best fish and chips in Australia.

Our Cambridge venue is open seven days a week for lunch and dinner both dine-in and takeaway. We also operate food vans at many of Tasmania's major events and festivals throughout the summer.
