Our client is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Consultant to join their team in Maitland, Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have solid retail sales and customer service experience, preferably within a similar industry, with a proven track record of delivering results. You should be proactive, well-presented and organized, with excellent communication, customer service and problem-solving skills, as well as strong administrative ability. Matric is essential, together with 3+ years’ retail/shop-floor experience and a clear credit record. REQUIREMENTS:

• 3+ years’ internal sales and/or customer service experience
• 3+ years’ retail/shop-floor experience in a similar industry
• Matric essential
• Clear credit record
• Proven track record of achieving results in retail sales
• Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently while also being a strong team player
• Well-groomed and professional in appearance
• Takes pride in themselves and in the quality of their work
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent customer service, customer care and problem-solving skills
• Strong planning, organisational and time-management skills
• Neat and tidy in appearance and work practices
• Friendly, helpful disposition with a positive attitude
• Good administrative skills, with strong attention to accuracy and detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, email and internet use

 
DUTIES:

• Welcome and assist walk-in customers, providing knowledgeable guidance and advice to meet their needs.
• Deliver exceptional customer service while ensuring a quick, efficient and smooth turnaround time.
• Act as the key interface between the company and its customers, ensuring customer requirements are understood and met.
• Drive sales by identifying customer needs and recommending suitable products and solutions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to encourage repeat business.
• Grow the walk-in customer base through effective marketing initiatives and social media engagement.
• Create a positive, upbeat and vibrant customer experience that reflects a trendy and welcoming retail environment.
• Consistently represent the company in a professional and customer-focused manner.

HOURS:

• Monday to Friday: 08:15 to 16:45
• Friday: 08:15 to 16:00
• Saturday: 08:30 to 13:00
