Hunter Manning are excited to be partnering with a well-established and growing business based just outside of the Perth CBD, who are looking for a Project Accountant to join their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a first mover from practice looking to transition into commerce and develop their commercial exposure.

Joining a supportive finance team, you’ll work across a varied portfolio of live projects and partner closely with operational stakeholders across the wider business.

This is much more than a traditional accounting role. The business is passionate about developing its people and is looking for someone who wants to grow with the team, build their commercial skillset and progress their career over the longer term.
  

Key Responsibilities

• Project-level cost tracking and variance analysis
• Partnering closely with operational teams to ensure project financials remain accurate and current
• Supporting month-end reporting and project-level margin analysis
• Providing financial insight to support commercial decision-making
• Building strong relationships with both finance and non-finance stakeholders

  
About you

We’re looking for someone with strong accounting foundations who equally enjoys working with people and wants to develop into a commercially focused finance professional. You may currently be working within a Big 4 accounting firm and considering your first move into industry.

• Degree qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
• CA/CPA qualification, or be working towards completion
• Strong technical accounting foundations
• Experience working across a varied portfolio of clients
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A confident, proactive approach
• Commercial curiosity and an interest in understanding the story behind the numbers
• A genuine desire to develop and progress within a growing business
