In this role, you will be the first point of contact for customers and stakeholders seeking information and support from Value NSW. You will deliver high-quality customer service in a fast-paced contact centre environment, handling inbound customer calls, responding to written enquiries, coordinating correspondence and objections, and processing customer requests. You will be required to manage a structured workload, balancing call queue availability with processing responsibilities while providing timely, accurate and professional assistance.Working in a fast-paced contact centre environment, you will assist customers with land valuation enquiries, maintain accurate records, prepare correspondence and support the delivery of services that contribute to confidence in the NSW land valuation system. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution while helping customers navigate important government services.For more information read the full role description Customer Service OfficerWhat you will bring to the roleDemonstrated commitment to delivering excellent customer service in a high-volume customer-facing environment.Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain information clearly, professionally and confidently to a diverse range of customers and stakeholders.Ability to manage inbound and outbound calls, written enquiries and processing tasks in a structured fast-paced call centre environment while balancing competing priorities and maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to investigate enquiries and identify appropriate solutions.Experience preparing quality written correspondence and maintaining accurate records and administrative information.A collaborative approach and willingness to work closely with colleagues to achieve team outcomes.

Value NSW (VNSW), part of the Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure, delivers the valuation system for rating and taxing as well as compulsory acquisition compensation purposes via delegation of the Valuer General of NSW. This includes but is not limited to: Making more than 2.7 million residential, rural, commercial and industrial valuations annually, with a total value of approximately $3 trillion as well as managing compulsory acquisition determinations in situations where government cannot reach agreement, totalling over $1 billion per annum Delivering customer services and experience for 2.7 million landholders per annum - receiving up to 50,000 calls and many more enquiries Monitoring, assurance and governance pertaining to the quality of the valutions undertaken relevant to both the Valuation of Land Act 1916 and the Land Acquisition (Just Terms Compensation) Act 1991. In addition, VNSW provides other specialised valuation activities, services and determinations for other cluster or statewide government partners - including being responsible for the delivery of all valuations for government property transactions as defined by the Government Property Framework and Treasurer’s Directions as well as sector wide asset valuations of up to around $700 billion for financial reporting purposes.We are an inclusive and accessible workplace, where your individual contributions are valued, and where everyone is encouraged to feel a sense of connection and belonging.
