Do Work That Matters

As an Associate Director, you'll be focussed on managing and growing a portfolio of complex institutional clients from the Non-Bank Financial Institutions sector (NBFI)
 

This is a highly visible, client-facing role where you'll build trusted relationships, identify growth opportunities and deliver strategic transaction banking solutions that help clients achieve their objectives.
 

This NBFI portfolio will comprise of highly sophisticated institutional clients, representing significant transactional banking complexity, including numerous operating accounts and multiple banking platforms.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and grow relationships across a portfolio of large NBFI clients, positioning yourself as a trusted adviser
• Lead client engagement activities and identify opportunities across the Transaction Banking Solutions product suite, including payments, receivables, liquidity, cash management and working capital solutions.
• Own and execute strategic account plans focused on increasing wallet share, deepening customer relationships and delivering sustainable growth outcomes.
• Develop a deep understanding of clients' operating models, business strategy and financial position to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
• Structure, negotiate and execute complex transaction banking opportunities in partnership with product, relationship, implementation and risk teams.
• Lead client deal teams to deliver integrated, client-centric solutions across the broader IB&M capability set.
• Act as a thought leader within the NBFI sector, maintaining a strong understanding of market trends, regulatory developments and industry challenges.
• Work collaboratively across IB&M to ensure client strategies align with broader sector and ecosystem priorities.
• Maintain strong risk, governance and compliance standards while delivering exceptional client outcomes.
   

About You.

We're open to individuals from Transaction Banking, Cash Management, Corporate Banking, Commercial Banking or Institutional Banking backgrounds who have strong relationship management and commercial capability.
 

You may also bring;

• Exposure to transaction banking products such as payments, receivables, liquidity, working capital, cash management or treasury solutions.
• Experience managing complex client relationships within Commercial, Corporate or Institutional Banking environments.
• Experience building credibility and trusted partnerships with senior client stakeholders, including executive and treasury decision-makers.
• Understanding of the NBFI sector, including key market drivers and challenges affecting insurance, wealth and superannuation clients.
• Strong commercial acumen and the ability to analyse client needs and translate them into tailored banking solutions.
• Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation and influencing skills.
• A proactive and highly organised approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• A collaborative mindset and proven ability to work across multiple teams to deliver client outcomes.
