Food Service Assistant

We have a Permanent Part-Time opportunity of 18.5 hours per fortnight, as well as casual opportunities available for those looking for greater flexibility.

The available shifts are:  

3 x 16:00-20:00 and 1 x 06:30-14:00

About the Role

As a Food Services Assistant, you’ll play an important role in supporting our residents to enjoy nutritious, delicious meals in a safe and welcoming environment.

Working as part of our care and hospitality team, you will:

• Assist with meal preparation and food service
• Prepare and serve meals and refreshments to residents
• Follow food safety, hygiene and infection control requirements
• Maintain a clean and organised kitchen and dining environment
• Assist with cleaning and general kitchen duties
• Support residents with a friendly, respectful and person-centred approach
• Work collaboratively with the broader care team

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Passionate about providing excellent service to older people
• Friendly, caring and approachable
• Reliable and able to work effectively as part of a team
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Committed to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene
• Previous experience in food services, hospitality or aged care is desirable, but not essential
