Data Centre Manager, Infrastructure Operations

As we continue our rapid expansion across the Asia-Pacific region to support the demands of our customers, we're seeking an exceptional Data Center Operations Manager to join our Melbourne (MEL) cluster operations and drive operational excellence at scale.

As part of our infrastructure management team, you'll be a proven technology-focused leader with a passion for devising innovative concepts and strategies that will take AWS Data Center Operations to the next level. This is a high-impact leadership role where you'll collaborate with, lead, and mentor diverse teams of skilled data center technicians with a variety of capabilities, driving strategic initiatives and ensuring uptime for critical infrastructure supporting AWS customers globally.

This position will be responsible for data center operations with a relentless focus on continuous improvement to ensure we continue to deliver the highest level of service to our customers. Key job responsibilities
• Managing and developing teams of efficient Data Center Technicians, providing both technical and leadership expertise and ensuring highest levels of performance
• Maintaining existing co-located and in-house Data Centers.
• Help build and bring online new Data Centers.
• Constantly improving all our processes and procedures. We believe there is nothing we cannot improve.
• Assisting & managing relationships with external vendors & contractors.
• Liaising with internal teams & management groups.
• Ensuring we adhere to and exceed local Health & Safety standards in all our Data Centers.
• Creating and maintaining metrics of all aspects of our Data Centers and utilizing those metrics to drive positive improvements.
• Assisting in implementing service methodologies that include incident management, problem management, change management, capacity management.


- 3+ years of previous management experience
- Experience in management
- Experience managing and developing high performance teams
- Experience in program management, tech program management, or related fields
- Experience in a data center or other critical environment, or experience in data center engineering or operations

- 4+ years of data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance experience
- Bachelor's degree
