With strong demand for locally manufactured fabrication and an expanding national customer base, TRADEFORM is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager / Trade Sales Representative to develop new customers, grow existing accounts & establish long-term national trade relationships.

This role is ideal for someone currently working within the façade, signage, fabrication, construction supply, building products, manufacturing industries who understands how projects move from design and quoting through to fabrication, production & delivery.

The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to play a key role in the continued growth of TRADEFORM.

You will be responsible for developing new business opportunities across the façade, signage, construction, infrastructure and trade sectors, while building strong customer relationships and identifying opportunities where TRADEFORM can provide a manufacturing solution.

This is a commercially focused, relationship-driven role with a strong design and manufacturing component.

You will need to understand a customer’s requirements, identify the appropriate fabrication solution, develop a design concept where required, prepare and present pricing, and work with the customer through to project delivery.

We are looking for someone who can identify opportunities rather than simply respond to enquiries — someone who understands the industry, understands manufacturing and knows how to turn relationships into long-term commercial partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate new business opportunities across signage, construction, infrastructure and trade sectors

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with sign companies, builders, shopfitters, project managers and construction companies

• Identify new national accounts and develop long-term commercial relationships

• Quote and present pricing to clients, including design concepts where required

• Understand customer requirements and translate them into practical manufacturing solutions

• Promote TRADEFORM’s fabrication and manufacturing capabilities

• Work with clients on projects requiring custom fabrication and manufacturing

• Follow projects from initial enquiry and concept through to quotation, production and delivery

• Identify opportunities across:

  • Fabricated signage and general fabrication

  • Architectural façade panels and screens

  • Fabricated and illuminated letters

  • Pylon signage structures

  • Aluminium and acrylic fabrication

  • Router-cut signage and panels

  • LED signage systems

  • CNC and custom manufacturing

  • General fabrication for construction and trade industries

  • 3D printing and emerging manufacturing solutions

• Maintain regular contact with existing customers and identify additional opportunities

• Develop and manage a strong sales pipeline

• Meet agreed sales, activity and business development KPIs

• Provide regular sales activity, pipeline and forecasting reports

• Represent TRADEFORM professionally at customer meetings, industry events and site visits

• Travel nationally on an occasional basis to develop and maintain key customer relationships

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who understands the industry and can confidently speak with customers about design, fabrication, manufacturing, pricing and project delivery.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in sales, project sales or business development

• Industry experience in signage, fabrication, construction supply, manufacturing or building products is required

• Strong understanding of how projects move from design through to fabrication and installation

• Existing relationships within the signage, construction, shopfitting or building industries will be highly regarded

• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project pricing

• Ability to read and understand drawings and project requirements

• Ability to identify fabrication opportunities and develop practical solutions

• Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills

• Proven ability to generate new business rather than relying solely on existing accounts

• KPI-driven, commercially minded and results-focused

• Strong customer focus and ability to build lasting relationships

• Self-motivated, organised and proactive

• Professional approach to customer relationships

• Ability to work independently while working closely with the TRADEFORM production and estimating teams
