Asphalt Labourer

About the role

Allroad Surfaces is seeking a reliable and hardworking Asphalt Labourer to join our team on a casual basis. Based in Cooroy, QLD, this role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic trades environment where you'll contribute directly to the completion of quality asphalt projects. As an Asphalt Labourer, you will play an essential part in our operations, supporting the installation and maintenance of asphalt surfaces across a variety of projects in the local and surrounding regions. Casual with a view to permanent 40 plus hours each week.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting in the preparation and compaction of ground surfaces prior to asphalt laying

• Supporting experienced operators with the delivery and spreading of asphalt materials

• Operating hand tools and compacting equipment as directed by supervisory staff

• Assisting with traffic control and site safety protocols

• Performing general site cleaning and maintenance tasks

• Loading and unloading materials and equipment from vehicles

• Adhering to all health and safety regulations and workplace procedures

• Communicating effectively with team members to ensure smooth project execution

What we're looking for

• Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour in varying weather conditions

• A willingness to learn and take direction from experienced team members

• Basic understanding of construction and trades safety practices

• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic

• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

• Good communication skills and a positive attitude

• Previous experience in asphalt work, construction, or related trades (preferred but not essential)

• Valid driver's licence (advantageous)
