About the role
AHT Construction is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic 1st Year Junior Apprentice Carpenter to join our team. This full-time apprenticeship opportunity will provide you with hands-on training and the opportunity to develop your skills in the building industry.
Applicants must be Australian citizens to be eligible for this apprenticeship position.
There is no minimum age requirement for this carpentry apprenticeship position.
What you'll be doing
Assisting experienced carpenters with various construction tasks such as framing, roofing, and finishing work
Learning and applying carpentry techniques and methods on site
Following instructions and safety protocols to complete tasks efficiently and safely
Maintaining a clean and organised work environment
Participating in on-the-job training and attending vocational education classes
What we're looking for
Passion for the building trades and a desire to learn the carpentry trade
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions
Good physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labour tasks
Willingness to work as part of a team and take direction from experienced carpenters
Basic math and problem-solving skills
