The Opportunity
Join the Finance portfolio as a Business Analysis and Improvement Officer and lead complex analytics, process improvement and change initiatives that support operational excellence across the University. You’ll play a key role in identifying opportunities to streamline, digitise and automate financial processes, while delivering insightful analytics through data extraction, reporting and visualisation to support informed decision-making.
Working within the Finance Applications and Processes team, you’ll lead continuous improvement initiatives, business requirements gathering and process rationalisation, as well as contribute to projects involving system development and testing. You’ll work with a broad range of stakeholders to improve efficiency, reduce costs and enhance the quality and effectiveness of Finance services.
About You
You’ll be an analytical and solutions-focused professional with demonstrated experience in business analysis, data analytics and process improvement. You’ll bring strong technical capability across data extraction and transformation, visualisation, database querying and automation, with experience using tools such as Python and process mapping software.
You’ll have a proven ability to lead change and continuous improvement initiatives that deliver tangible business outcomes, combined with excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills. You’ll be confident providing specialist advice, influencing senior stakeholders and translating complex information into practical solutions that improve processes, systems and service delivery.
