OASIS BUILDING GROUP
About the role
Oasis Building Group is seeking an organised, proactive and experienced Pre-Construction Manager to join our Ballarat team.
Working closely with and reporting to the Operations Manager, you will take ownership of the pre-construction journey, coordinating projects from sales through to contract and construction handover.
You’ll work across our in-house sales, drafting, estimating and administration teams, maintaining visibility over our project pipeline and ensuring the right information, decisions and actions are progressing at the right time.
This isn't a role where you'll be expected to personally complete every estimate, drawing or administrative task. Instead, you'll bring the different parts of pre-construction together – coordinating people, priorities and deadlines, identifying roadblocks and ultimately keeping projects moving.
Manage and monitor projects throughout the pre-construction pipeline, from sales through to contract and construction handover.
Coordinate our sales, drafting, estimating and administration teams, ensuring priorities, responsibilities and project deadlines are clear.
Conduct regular project reviews with team members to monitor workloads, milestones, outstanding actions and potential roadblocks.
Lead weekly pre-construction meetings, establishing priorities, assigning actions and following through on outcomes.
Maintain oversight of key project requirements including design, estimating, client selections, consultant documentation, approvals and contract readiness.
Identify delays, risks and missing information early, working with the relevant team members to keep projects progressing.
Ensure projects are appropriately coordinated and ready for a smooth handover from pre-construction into construction.
Work alongside the Operations Manager to improve pre-construction systems, reporting, processes and overall efficiency.
We’re looking for someone who can see the bigger picture while maintaining a strong eye for detail. You’ll be highly organised, comfortable managing multiple projects at different stages and confident working with different teams and personalities. Most importantly, you’ll be someone who takes ownership, follows things through and enjoys creating structure within a busy project environment.
Ideally, you will have:
Previous experience within residential construction, pre-construction, project coordination or a similar role.
A strong understanding of the domestic residential building process.
An understanding of sales, estimating, drafting, contracts and construction documentation.
Excellent organisation and the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines.
Confidence leading meetings and conducting one-on-one project reviews with team members.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
A proactive approach to identifying issues, following up actions and keeping projects moving.
Strong computer and systems skills, with an interest in improving processes and efficiencies.
At Oasis, no two projects are the same. We work across custom new homes, renovations, extensions and medium-density developments, providing plenty of variety across the projects you'll oversee.
You'll work alongside an established in-house team across sales, design, drafting, estimating, administration and construction, within a positive and collaborative working environment.
This is an opportunity to take genuine ownership of our pre-construction pipeline and have a direct impact on the way projects progress through the business.
You'll also have exposure to our sister company, Dune Building Technologies, and its work in 3D concrete printing and emerging construction technology, creating further opportunities for professional development as both businesses continue to grow.
