Morson Edge Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Fire Tester to join a well-established fire protection company offering a 4-day working week. This is a varied role suited to someone with strong testing and defect rectification experience, working across a range of commercial and industrial sites.

THE ROLE:

You’ll be responsible for testing and carrying out lower-level defect rectification across a broad range of fire protection systems, including:

• Fire Indicator Panels (FIPs)
• Sprinkler & hydrant systems
• Pump sets
• Portable fire equipment
• Routine inspections, testing and servicing
• Lower-level defect rectification and repairs
• Identifying issues and providing practical solutions

You’ll be working across a diverse range of sites including industrial facilities, warehouses, childcare centres, Class 2 residential buildings and major construction projects — so no two days are the same.

WHAT THEY’RE LOOKING FOR:

• Solid experience as a Fire Tester
• Strong testing and repairs/rectification experience
• Experience across multiple fire protection systems
• Ability to work autonomously and manage your own day
• Good communication and customer service skills
• FPAS accreditation highly regarded
• No FPAS? No problem — the company is willing to fund and support you through your accreditation
• Good work ethic, attitude and team player
