Boilermaker | Welder

Due to a strong pipeline of current projects and planned future growth, we have multiple opportunities available within our fabrication team for experienced Boilermakers/Welders.

We also encourage applications from 3rd year apprentices.

This role involves the fabrication of EWP components from detailed engineering drawings and is ideally suited to a skilled tradesperson or a candidate with substantial welding experience, particularly within the truck and plant manufacturing sector.

This position is ongoing full time, working Monday - Friday 7.00am - 3.30pm (summer hours 6.00am to 2.30pm). There is also the opportunity to work overtime and Saturday's as required. Due to the nature of our work you will need the physical ability to weld in various positions (workbenches, under vehicles etc.) and some heavy lifting will be required. 

Successful applicants will have experience in some or all of the following areas:

• Experience in MIG (TIG & ARC experience highly regarded)

• Experience in oxy cutting (preferred)

• Experience aligning bosses' with pins (highly regarded)

• Experience in using jigs along with tight tolerance fabrication of components

• Have a high attention to detail as there will be some higher complex tasks such as working off detailed drawings

• Experience working 3mm- 20mm mild and high tensile steel

• Experience working with hand, power and air tools

• Experience with operating overhead cranes would also be beneficial but not essential

• A commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment
