Social Media Content SpecialistSydney | Hybrid
About the RoleWe're looking for a creative, organised, and experienced Social Media Content Specialist to join our agency team. This role is ideal for someone with at least 2 years of experience, who has a passion for creating engaging social media content and wants to build their experience across a range of well-known B2B and B2C brands.
The role is initially 28 - 32 hours per week on a 6 - 12 month contract, with a view of moving to a permanent/full-time role for the right person. It could also suit someone looking for greater flexibility or while continuing to develop their career around study.
You'll work closely with our marketing and client teams to create engaging content, schedule posts, monitor performance, and help bring client brands to life across social media.

What the Role Entails1. Content Strategy, Planning & CreationDevelop effective social content strategies aligned to channel objectives, audience needs, and content pillarsBuild content calendars that are on-brand, audience-focused, and ready for publishingInterpret client briefs, products, and tone-of-voice guidelinesPlan, write, and develop platform-native content across organic and paid channelsCreate captions, hooks, scripts, stories, reels, and short-form video contentEnsure content aligns with brand messaging and campaign objectivesWrite clear creative briefs and coordinate with design and production teams
2. Channel Management & PublishingManage day-to-day execution across social media platformsSchedule, publish, and optimise content using platform best practicesMaintain consistent publishing cadence and timely deliveryManage community engagement, audience interactions, and influencer opportunitiesIdentify earned media opportunities and coordinate approvals for reuse where appropriateApply platform optimisation techniques including trends, keywords, hashtags, and formats
3. Workflow, Quality Control, & Stakeholder ManagementReview content for accuracy, quality, and brand consistency before publishingManage workflows, timelines, approvals, and delivery standards across multiple brandsPresent creative concepts, insights, and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholdersCollaborate across teams to gather feedback and secure approvalsEnsure compliance with brand, legal, and platform guidelinesThrive in a fast-paced agency environment with changing priorities and deadlines
4. Performance, Insights, & OptimisationDeliver against content, engagement, growth, and ROI objectivesMonitor and report on content and campaign performanceAnalyse channel, audience, and competitor activity to identify opportunitiesUse insights and data to continuously optimise content performance and outcomes
What We’re Looking ForAt least 2 years of experience creating and managing social media content across multiple brands and platformsMust have a design/creative portfolio to shareStrong storytelling and copywriting skills with the ability to create engaging, platform-native contentUnderstanding of major social platforms (i.e. Instagram, Youtube, Tiktok) content formats, trends, and best practicesPassion for digital, social, and emerging technology, with an active interest in content and platform evolutionHighly skilled in using creative, design, editing including Canva, CapCut, and AI creative toolsAdobe Creative Suite experience a plus!Experience producing short-form video content including Reels, Stories, and social-first video assetsComfortable using collaboration and workflow tools including Google Workspace and AsanaAnalytical mindset with the ability to interpret performance data and optimise content outcomesAbility to work quickly, manage multiple brands simultaneously, and prioritise effectivelyHighly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive, with the ability to take projects from concept to executionAgile, adaptable, and solutions-focused, with a willingness to learn and be challengedStrong communication, collaboration, and relationship management skillsPassionate about delivering measurable results through effective digital marketing and content programs
Digivizer follows a hybrid work arrangement. You will primarily work from home (typically 3-4 days per week), with a minimum of 3 in-person days per month at our office in Sydney CBD.
