Shenton College is seeking to appoint a Design and Technology Teacher for the commencement of the 2027 school year.

We operate a flexible daily schedule, 8:00 am–4:05 pm, including dedicated collaborative DOTT time on Wednesday afternoons, to promote innovative and engaging teaching practices.

The Role
The successful applicant will ideally be an experienced and passionate Design and Technology Teacher with a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and learning. The successful applicant should display a sound knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum and will ideally have experience in developing and delivering the curriculum using a wide range of teaching models. Qualifications and experience in teaching any of the following subjects will be considered highly desirable: Design and Technology courses such as Metalwork, Woodwork, Food Specialisations, Engineering.
The successful applicant should be inclusive in their practice and be able to cultivate a safe and accountable learning environment for student. The successful applicant should be highly proficient in motivating and engaging students through their relevant and meaningful learning programs and be able to display the effective use of information and communication technologies in the teaching of Manual Arts.
The successful applicant should be dedicated to academic excellence, high-quality teaching and learning and will set the standard for our growing foundation school.
