Support Worker – Female Arabic Speaking

Allegiance Heart & Home Care is seeking a reliable, experienced and compassionate Arabic-speaking Support Worker to provide domestic assistance services to clients.

This role is suitable for someone who takes pride in maintaining a clean and safe home environment and who is comfortable supporting older people living independently in the community.

Duties may include

• General household cleaning
• Vacuuming and mopping
• Cleaning bathrooms and toilets
• Kitchen cleaning
• Dusting and wiping surfaces
• Laundry and changing bed linen
• Light household organisation
• Assisting with other reasonable domestic tasks
• Maintaining a safe and tidy environment
• Reporting any concerns or changes noticed during visits
• Completing progress notes after each service

Essential Requirements

Applicants should have:

• Ability to communicate effectively in Arabic and English
• Experience providing domestic assistance, aged care or community support
• Current National Police Check
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• Valid Australian driver’s licence
• Reliable vehicle
• Appropriate vehicle insurance
• Current working rights in Australia
• Good communication and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently in clients’ homes
• Ability to complete accurate progress notes

Preferred

The following will be highly regarded:

• Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability or equivalent
• Previous experience working with older people
• Experience providing community-based domestic assistance
• Understanding of person-centred care and professional boundaries
