Northeast Health Wangaratta
About the role
Northeast Health Wangaratta (NHW) is the major health provider in the Central Hume region with an extensive range of acute, sub-acute, aged care and community services.
Northeast Health Wangaratta is seeking a dynamic and experienced clinical leader to join our Specialist Clinics team. This role offers an opportunity to provide and model a high level of professional competence while delivering clinical supervision to staff. You will contribute to the strategic direction of the service, offering advice and advocacy that helps shape the future of specialist care at NHW. Ensuring that clinical practices are informed by legislation, evidence-based research, and education, you will play a key role in driving quality and excellence in patient outcomes.
You will contribute to the development, monitoring and evaluation of policies, guidelines and standards that promote best practice. Your leadership will also involve identifying relevant health trends and helping to design NHW’s response to emerging community needs. With a focus on innovation, you will lead quality improvement initiatives, including audits and research projects, and implement entrepreneurial solutions that enhance services, improve efficiency, and support financial sustainability.
Working in collaboration with the NUM and other leaders, you will coordinate recruitment, staff retention and effective roster management to align workforce planning with service priorities and budgetary targets. You will oversee professional development and review processes to support clinical capability and ongoing staff growth. Representing and promoting both Specialist Clinics and the wider organisation, you will build strong partnerships with internal teams and external stakeholders to support integrated care and service expansion.
As a leader, you will foster a respectful, engaged and positive team culture, where professional development and education are prioritised. Balancing an agreed clinical caseload with leadership responsibilities, you will demonstrate NHW’s commitment to excellence through everything you do.
If you are ready to make a meaningful impact, lead with purpose, and help shape the future of specialist services in a progressive and community-focused health service, we welcome your application.
