About the role
As a Timber Yard Machine Operator at Pinewood Products Pty Ltd, you'll play a crucial role in the efficient and safe operation of machinery within our brand new state of the art facility in Gilberton (near Yatala), Queensland. This is a full-time position where you'll be responsible for operating a range of specialized equipment to process and prepare timber for our customers across many different industries.
What you'll be doing
Safely operate a variety of timber processing machines and equipment
Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of machinery to ensure optimal performance and longevity
Monitor production processes and identify any issues or inefficiencies, reporting these to the supervisory team
Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment
Work collaboratively with the wider production team to meet daily and weekly output targets
Maintain detailed records of machinery usage, production volumes, and quality control checks
What we're looking for
Experience: A minimum of 2 years' experience operating machinery in a similar industrial or manufacturing environment
Skills: Proficient in the use of a range of timber processing equipment, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
Qualifications: Trade qualification or certificate in Timber Processing, or a related field, is highly desirable
Other: A demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety, and a keen interest in contributing to the continuous improvement of production processes
