About Us:

De Goey Contractors (DGC) is a recognized leader in fabrication, protective coating, process piping, installation, and various aspects of coal mining, terminal maintenance projects, port maintenance, manufacturing, and labour hire.

As we continue to expand, we are actively seeking experienced Pipe Fitters to join our team in Mackay. Please note that these positions are Mackay-based, and we encourage applications from Mackay residents. Accommodation is not provided.

About the Role:

• Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work as required
• Attractive hourly rates, plus penalties
• Workshop located in Paget
• 10–12 hour shifts

To be competitive for this role, We’re looking for candidates who have:

• 5+ years’ hands-on experience as a Pipe Fitter
• Proven experience in pipe fabrication and installation.
• Experience across a range of pipe sizes
• Strong experience with flanges, valves, supports and fittings
• Experience working from isometric drawings
• fit-up, beveling, alignment and spool assembly capability
• fit-up and preparation of pipework for welding and installation
• Ability to work unsupervised while producing quality work 
• Strong commitment towards safety and quality
• Motivated and hardworking
• Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Ensure completion of required weld & material traceability information
• A willingness to undergo pre-employment checks
• A valid driver’s licence
• Trade-specific qualifications
• White Card
