Contract Paralegal – Discovery Project | National Mid-Tier Law Firm - FT - 1 Month +

• Contract paralegal opportunity with a national Australian mid-tier law firm
• Discovery project starting September, running a minimum of one month (with potential extension)
• Full-time preferred; 4-day-per-week candidates also considered

At Yegal Paralegal, we place document reviewers and paralegals with law firms and corporate clients across Australia. We're currently recruiting on behalf of a national mid-tier firm for a contract paralegal to join their litigation team on an upcoming discovery project.

THE ROLE

You'll be joining a team of litigators working through the document discovery phase of an active matter. Given the deadlines associated with the discovery process, this role calls for reliable, focused availability across the life of the project. Day-to-day, your responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing and coding documents for relevance and privilege
• Working within an electronic document review platform (under supervised instruction)
• Supporting the litigation team with document organisation and discovery workflows as the matter progresses
• You will work in-person at the firm's Sydney CBD office located close to Town Hall Station.

ABOUT YOU

• A completed or in-progress tertiary law qualification (LLB or equivalent) – open to Australian admitted, Australian practising, foreign qualified, or law graduates
• Prior document review experience (e.g. TransPerfect, Relativity, NUIX or similar platforms) is preferred but not essential – candidates with strong academic performance will also be considered
• Currently based in Australia with full working rights
• Availability is key: candidates able to commit 5 days per week will be given priority; candidates available 4 days per week may also be considered
