Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Brisbane office, leading some of Queensland's most significant Defence projects.
With a proven track record of delivering major Defence projects nationally, WT provides innovative, data-driven solutions that support the growth and transformation of this critical sector.
As part of our continued growth, the Brisbane office is expanding due to several high-profile project wins, ongoing major commissions and a strong pipeline of future opportunities.
We are looking for candidates with Defence sector experience and expertise in delivering complex expansion and refurbishment projects.
This role will undertake traditional quantity surveying responsibilities while also providing strategic guidance, procurement advice and commercial management to ensure projects remain financially sound and aligned with long-term operational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Attend and facilitate client and consultant meetings
Assign project tasks and responsibilities
Implement and ensure adherence to commercial processes
Provide commercial support and guidance to team members
Maintain and enhance Quality Assurance processes
Improve existing processes and procedures
Deliver quantity surveying services to support client outcomes
Lead, mentor and manage a small team of Quantity Surveyors
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
A degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or Construction
RICS and/or AIQS membership
DISP Security Clearance
Demonstrated Defence sector experience
Extensive experience using CostX and other cost estimating and planning software
A proven track record of winning and managing major projects
Strong leadership capability and team development skills
