Overview:

ASO8:

• Lead and manage the successful planning, coordination and delivery of priority projects and reviews across all stages of the project management continuum, from inception to completion, by proactively promoting the SA Health Project Management Framework and enabling tools.
• Lead all aspects of project management covering planning and scheduling, governance, controls, risk, and issue management, change management, benefit realisation, assurance, and review.
• Proactively monitor key programs and projects, identifying, analysing, and reporting opportunities and barriers to successful delivery, and undertaking assurance and review activities to ensure successful implementation of projects and identified project initiatives.
• Provide expertise and leadership into the development, implementation and monitoring of strategic initiatives, reviews and reform activities that support system-wide improvements in alignment with strategic objectives.

RN/M4:

Employees in this role use their clinical knowledge and experience to provide corporate leadership, project management and strategic support that enhances the profession and practice of South Australian midwives and nurses.

The incumbent is responsible for the development, coordination, implementation and evaluation of state-wide midwifery and nursing projects, including activities that support service planning, workforce sustainability, clinical practice, and system improvement.

The incumbent will:

• Provide expert advice to the Chief Nurse and Midwifery Officer and key stakeholders on matters related to midwifery and nursing practice, legislation, clinical learning, workforce, education, and research.
• Lead, coordinate, and manage portfolios/projects/programs of significant scope to contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of relevant practices and policies.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of relevant Department for Health and Wellbeing and Government policies, and strategic directions to address professional midwifery and/or nursing matters.
• Lead and coordinate review activities, stakeholder consultation, governance processes, and reporting requirements associated with priority nursing and midwifery projects and service reviews.
• Providing management support in specific work portfolio(s) within Nursing and Midwifery Office; internal and external advisory groups/expert panels/working groups and committees as required.
• Assist in the coordination of the Nursing and Midwifery Office corporate monitoring and acquittal process.

• A ‘National Police Certificate’ NPC (also known as a ‘Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check’ NCCHC) for employment involving no contact with vulnerable groups is required for this position (general employment).

Immunisation Risk for this position is Category C (minimal patient contact).

SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.

Special Conditions

• RN/M4: Applicants must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and holds, or is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
