THE ROLE

As our Talent and Onboarding Specialist, you'll be the person who brings great people into One Playground - and makes sure they land, settle and thrive once they're here.

With One Playground growing by 200+ new team members over the next 12-18 months, you'll run the full journey from first contact through to a signed contract, then carry every new team member through a structured first 12 weeks. Alongside that, you'll help build our future talent pipeline through the OneCoach Academy and support how we show up as an employer of choice.

This is a hands-on, execution-focused role: you'll be the person our leaders trust to move fast, the person candidates remember for all the right reasons, and the person who makes sure every new team members’ first day - and first 12 weeks - just work.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES.

Talent Acquisition.

• Own recruitment end-to-end across all our clubs, from job requisition through to signed contract.

• Screen, shortlist and interview candidates fast, coordinating schedules directly with Heads of Departments.

• Run reference checks, issue letters of offer and contracts, and keep our ATS accurate at every stage.

Onboarding (First 12 Weeks).

• Own onboarding end-to-end, from system and equipment setup through to a strong Day One.

• Support structured onboarding cycles with department leaders and run check-ins through Week 1, Week 4 and Week 12.

• Run onboarding surveys and keep improving the experience based on feedback.

Future Talent Pipeline (OneCoach Academy).

• Identify and nurture great candidates coming through OneCoach Academy.

• Build and maintain a pipeline of Academy graduates ready for future roles.

• Work closely with the Academy team to line up pipeline needs with intake and graduation timing.

Employer Brand Support.

• Help bring One Playground to life as a great place to work through student days, careers fairs and industry events.

• Partner with Marketing on employer brand content: job ads, careers page, social and employee stories.

• Represent One Playground at events that build our name as an employer of choice.

Reporting & Insights

• Keep recruitment and onboarding dashboards accurate and up to date.

• Track funnel health & conversions, and onboarding success across every new starter.

• Spot trends and bottlenecks early, and recommend better ways of doing things.

ABOUT YOU

To excel in this role:

• You love recruitment and get a genuine buzz from finding the right person for the right role.

• You care just as much about someone's first 12 weeks as you do about getting them started.

• You're organised, fast-moving, and comfortable juggling multiple hiring and onboarding journeys at once.

• You communicate confidently with candidates, new starters, and Heads of Department.

• You're excited by the idea of helping build a business, and a team, that's scaling fast.

YOUR EXPERIENCE

Not all experience is created equally. But the successful candidate would have a track record of managing a high volume candidate pipeline with a keen eye for spotting top talent. You may have come from an in house recruitment team or have worked agency side and would like to take your love for people and find their dream job with us.

Additional important experiences for consideration:

• Confident using an applicant tracking system (ATS) and comfortable picking up new systems quickly.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

• A structured, detail-focused approach - nothing slips through the cracks on your watch.

• A genuine interest in health, fitness & wellness.
