Startup Intern – Purpose Again

Purpose Again University Internship Program
Melbourne | Approximately 1 day per week | Through to the end of 2026
Purpose Again is an early-stage Australian startup helping people navigate life beyond work with greater purpose, connection and direction.
We are building a personalised digital experience designed to help people reflect on what matters to them, explore what they want next, and turn those insights into meaningful action.
As we move through our next stage of product development, pilots and partnerships, we are looking for 2–3 motivated university students who would like hands-on experience inside a growing startup.
This is not an observational internship. You will work alongside the Purpose Again team on real projects and gain exposure to product development, marketing, partnerships and early-stage business growth.

Marketing & Community
Working alongside our marketing team, you may help with:identifying relevant conversations and organisations on LinkedInresearching sector trends, topics and content opportunitiesdrafting thoughtful comments and social contentsupporting campaigns and content planningresearching organisations, communities and industry voices relevant to Purpose Againhelping build awareness of the Purpose Again brandThis stream may suit students studying marketing, communications, media, business or related areas.
Partnerships & Growth
Working alongside our partnerships team, you may help with:researching prospective customers and partnersbuilding targeted organisation and contact listsidentifying relevant decision-makersresearching organisations before meetings and outreachsupporting CRM and business development activityhelping prepare proposals, presentations and Qwilr materialsresearching opportunities across retirement living, superannuation, employers, community organisations and related sectorsThis stream may suit students studying business, marketing, commerce, entrepreneurship or related areas.
Product Experience & Testing
Working with the Purpose Again founding and product team, you may help us test and improve the experience before it reaches participants and partners.This could include:setting up test participant, facilitator and administrator accountsworking through the Purpose Again experience from beginning to endtesting questions, prompts and user journeystesting login, account creation, buttons and navigationtesting the participant, facilitator and administration portalsidentifying bugs, confusing experiences and usability issuesdocumenting feedback and suggesting improvementsapproaching the platform as a first-time user and telling us where things are unclear
This stream may suit students studying UX, product design, psychology, information systems, technology, digital design or business.
What we are looking for
You do not need extensive professional experience.
We are more interested in people who are:curious and proactivecomfortable working independentlystrong communicatorsorganised and reliablecomfortable using digital tools and AIwilling to ask questions and suggest improvementsinterested in startups, ageing, purpose, wellbeing or social impactkeen to work on something at an early stage where their contribution can genuinely be seen

Placement structure
We expect the placement to be approximately one day per week through to the end of 2026, with some flexibility around university commitments.
This opportunity is intended for students who are able to undertake the internship as a recognised university internship, Work Integrated Learning (WIL) or vocational placement.
We are happy to work with your university to complete reasonable placement documentation and requirements.
