About the role

Underdale Drillers oz is seeking a skilled Boiler Maker to join our team on a casual basis at our facility in Lonsdale, SA 5160. This role is pivotal to our operations, as you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and maintaining boilers and pressure vessels that are critical to our service delivery. As a Boiler Maker, you will play an essential part in ensuring the safety, quality, and reliability of our equipment whilst contributing to the overall success of our engineering and manufacturing operations.

What you'll be doing

• Fabricating and assembling, plus repairs

• Performing welding operations using various techniques and materials, ensuring welds meet industry standards and quality requirements

• Inspecting completed work to identify defects and ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations and standards

• Maintaining and repairing equipment to extend their operational lifespan

• Operating and maintaining boiler-making tools and equipment safely and effectively

• Collaborating with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines and maintain workshop safety standards

• Adhering to all health and safety regulations and contributing to a safe working environment

What we're looking for

• An experienced boiler /welder, assembly, and maintenance within a manufacturing or engineering environment

• Proficiency in multiple welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and arc welding

• Sound knowledge of safety regulations, codes, and standards applicable to boiler making and pressure vessel work

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail to ensure precision in fabrication and assembly

• Physical fitness and the ability to work in varying conditions, including standing for extended periods and working at heights when necessary

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with colleagues

• Reliability and a flexible approach to casual work arrangements

• Current or ability to obtain relevant safety certifications and qualifications as required by the role
