AIC Mines is entering an exciting period of growth across our North West Queensland operations, with Jericho Mine staging into production over the coming months.

Located near Cloncurry, Eloise Copper Mine is an established underground operation producing high-grade copper concentrate. Together with the development of Jericho, Eloise forms an important part of AIC Mines’ growth strategy and offers the opportunity to join a strong operational team focused on safety, teamwork, performance and continuous improvement.

About the Role: 

We seek an experienced mine site kitchen hand wanting to work in a dynamic and friendly environment where there is a strong focus on working together to get the job done. 

You will be responsible for:

• Meal prep for Crib Bain, dishes, sandwiches, food service and assisting chefs as requested. 

• Cleaning kitchen equipment and appliances.

• Keeping food preparation areas clean (including benchtops, floors, ovens and ranges).

• Receiving and handling food deliveries.

• Washing up dishes, pots and utensils.

This is a permanent full-time role offered on an 8/6 day shift and 7/7 night shift (12-hour shifts) FIFO roster from Townsville.   Local candidates from Cloncurry or surrounding communities can commute via bus from Cloncurry and are encouraged to apply. 

Accommodation and meals are provided onsite at the Eloise Copper Mine; 65km from Cloncurry. 

About You: 

• Food Handling Certificate (Level 1)

• Good communication and time management skills. 

• Commercial kitchen and recent hospitality experience preferred.

• FIFO or mining experience highly desirable.

• Current QLD driver’s license.

• Hold a high regard for safety by following safe working practices.

• Physically fit and able to pass a medical assessment and police check
