Y Schools Queensland Junior Brisbane South Campus are recruiting a Teacher on a Permanent Full-Time basis to join our team based in Acacia Ridge

What will my time look like?

Delivering academic and wellbeing programs to students.Support the delivery of vocational training programs offered to students; andSupport the Head of Campus/School in the operation of the campus to achieve educational, wellbeing and vocational objectives.Create a nurturing and supportive learning environment which is learner focused, safe, supportive and aligned to the curriculum.Collaborate with like-minded peers to plan, write and deliver structured lessons that differentiate and personalise the learning for each student.Assess and provide meaningful and supportive feedback and report on student learning.Supporting young people with diverse learning and support needs, including disabilities, behavioural challenges, ASD, ADHD/ADD, and mental health needsSupport our young people to know success!

Am I a good match?

Hold a relevant University degree, current Queensland College of Teachers Registration,First Aid Certificate and CPR QualificationsApply appropriate knowledge to plan and prepare teaching and learning programs to meet the diverse characteristics, needs and learning styles of students who are at risk of disengaging from educationImplement effective, inclusive teaching practices, including the use of learning technologies and assessment, to create a supportive environment where students are encouraged to reach their full potential.Communicate effectively with students using strong interpersonal skills and implement behaviour management strategies that support a positive and inclusive learning environment.
