Registered Nurse - SCN

The George Centre is a private provider of health services, family focused and offering Maternity and Paediatrics, Day and Short Stay Surgical services to Camden, Campbelltown, and surrounding areas.  Its aim is to offer a more holistic approach to healthcare with a key focus to provide the best experience by offering a truly patient-centric approach proven to enhance health and wellness.

 We are currently looking to employ a Casual Registered Nurse for our Special Care Nursery.  The department includes 4 birthing suites, 26 bed maternity ward and 4 cot special care nursery.

As a Registered Nurse your responsibilities will include:

• Deliver quality-nursing care by Assessing, Planning, Implementing, and evaluating individual patient care
• Provide a standard of care according to the individuals level of experience and education maintaining high-quality nursing care within a safe environment
• Develop and utilise strategies that encourage an atmosphere conducive to effective communication
• Work in partnership with patients and families in decision-making regarding provision of care promoting beneficial relationships.

 Essential Criteria:

• Current Registration with AHPRA
• Neonatal Qualifications – minimum 2 years’ experience
• Commitment to Quality Patient Care
• Sound clinical decision making and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Works well independently and within a team
• Basic computer skills

 Other Requirements

• National Police Check
• Working with Children Check
• Proof of immunisation against specified Infectious Diseases, including COVID-19
