Senior Lawyer – 8-20+ years’ PAE – Leading University

We’re currently working with a leading tertiary education provider to engage a Senior Lawyer on a 4-month contracting basis, commencing as soon as possible. This opportunity is ideally suited lawyers available full-time, with part-time arrangements also considered for the right lawyer.

Reporting to the Managing Counsel, the role provides strategic and practical legal advice across a broad range of matters, including commercial contracts, employment, privacy, intellectual property, property, dispute resolution and statutory compliance.

Some of your key responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

• Drafting and negotiating a range of agreements and legal documentation.

• Identifying and managing legal risk across University operations.

• Supporting dispute resolution matters, including liaising with external counsel.

• Contributing to governance and compliance activities across the University.

We would like to speak to lawyers with 8-20+ years’ PAE. You will be confident working both independently and collaboratively, with sound judgement, strong communication skills and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
