Carpenter / 3rd Year Carpenter Apprentice

Jaymax Construction is a reputable Canberra-based builder specialising in high-quality residential renovations, extensions, and outdoor living projects. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and motivated qualified Carpenter or 3rd-year Apprentice Carpenter to join our team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work across a wide range of residential projects, including structural carpentry, framing, renovations, detailed internal finishes, and external works such as decks and pergolas. You will be working within a supportive team environment where attention to detail, craftsmanship, and a strong work ethic are highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out carpentry works in accordance with drawings and project specifications

• Contribute to site set-out, measurements, and problem-solving as required

• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe worksite

• Work collaboratively with team members, subcontractors, and clients

• Deliver consistently high-quality workmanship

Skills & Experience

• Trade-qualified Carpenter or 3rd-year Apprentice Carpenter

• Previous experience in renovations and extensions is highly regarded

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Ability to read and interpret plans confidently

• White Card and Asbestos Awareness Card

• Own hand tools and transport

• A positive attitude and pride in your work
