We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Family Lawyer to join an established firm with offices in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and on the Gold Coast. This role will be based in Melbourne although happy to receive applicants close to the other office locations. 

In this pivotal role, you will be mentored into a future leadership role, providing exceptional legal representation and guidance to clients facing complex family law issues. You will also grow to mentor and motivate a team of family lawyers while fostering a collaborative and successful environment.

Responsibilities:

• Become a senior member in a team of family lawyers and ensuring a high standard of client service.
• Provide exceptional legal representation to clients in a wide range of family law matters, including divorce, property settlements, child custody and support, and domestic violence.
• Develop and implement effective legal strategies to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients.
• Negotiate and mediate complex family law issues.
• Appear in court and represent clients effectively.
• Stay up-to-date on relevant family law legislation and case law.
• Contribute to the continued growth and success of the firm.

Qualifications:

• Admitted to the Supreme Court of Victoria and in good standing.
• Willingness to complete Family Law Accreditation (in progress or starting soon).
• Demonstrated track record of success in complex family law matters.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
• Compassionate and empathetic demeanour with a strong understanding of the sensitivities surrounding family law issues.
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage a high workload and meet deadlines efficiently.
