Full-Time Ceiling Fixer Required

Yes Interiors Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and reliable Ceiling Fixer / Wall and Ceiling Fixer to join our team. The successful candidate will undertake wall and ceiling installation and finishing work across residential and commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Measure, mark and cut plasterboard and other lining materials to required dimensions;
• Install and secure plasterboard to walls, ceilings, frames and battens;
• Install suspended ceiling systems and associated ceiling components;
• Determine plasterboard layouts and assist with the installation of insulation and other lining materials;
• Install cornices, corner beads, trims and other plaster fittings;
• Prepare and finish plasterboard joints, screw holes and fixing points using jointing compounds and tapes;
• Plumb, level and straighten wall and ceiling surfaces, corners and angles;
• Install acoustic, insulating and fire-rated wall and ceiling systems where required;
• Repair and replace damaged plasterboard, ceilings and wall linings;
• Read and interpret plans, drawings and job specifications to complete work accurately;
• Ensure completed work meets required quality and finish standards; and
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised work area and comply with workplace health and safety requirements.

Skills and Experience

• Relevant trade qualification in wall and ceiling fixing/plastering, or at least one-year of relevant work experience;
• Previous experience in ceiling fixing, plasterboard installation and finishing;
• Ability to read plans, measure accurately and work independently;
• Sound knowledge of relevant tools, materials and installation techniques;
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship;
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team; and
• Current driver's licence preferred.

Annual Salary from $79,500 to $85,000
