Court Support and Practical Assistance or counselling to Victims of Crime

act Inc was founded in 1988 by a group of victims of homicide. It was the first victims support service in Canberra Queanbeyan and region. It is a non-for-profit community organisation and operates three days per week Monday to Wednesday. This is an ideal volunteer position for anyone studying counselling, social work or psychology and even law studies. It is an excellent environment to get work experience and a useful reference for the paid workforce. There is a variety of tasks which will give a volunteer a well-rounded experience of working within a health support service. Regular clinical supervision is available 11.00 to 4.00 pm daily.
