Scheme Operations Lead

What You'll Be Doing

As the Scheme Operations Lead, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of either the Levy or Leave team, ensuring high-quality service delivery, consistent application of processes and the achievement of service level agreements.

You Will

Maintain effective reporting and analysis to provide insights, ensure data integrity, identify trends and identify improvement opportunitiesMonitor and support team performance ensuring staff are appropriately trained and delivering services in line with agreed processes, procedures, and service standardsEnsure team members receive regular performance feedback through coaching, mentoring, one on one sessions, buddying and other learning and development activitiesManage team attendance, leave requests, and exceptions in line with business requirements and organisational protocolsChampion and lead continuous and business improvement processes, along with change projects and associated processes to deliver improved service delivery and operational efficienciesCollaborate with stakeholders across the organisation as an SME for Scheme Operations and its activitiesRead, understand, interpret, and apply Coal LSL legislation, in line with our existing processes and procedures

There are two vacancies available: one permanent position and one 12-month contract position, both based in Newcastle.

What You'll Bring

To be successful in the role of Scheme Operations Lead (Levy or Leave team), you will have a background in an administrative or financial service environment, with experience leading and motivating a team towards a common goal.

Your Background Will Demonstrate Your

Ability to lead by example through self-awareness and a commitment to appropriate workplace behaviourStrong business acumen, including an understanding of the importance of confidentiality and responsible handling of information (corporate and personal)Highly developed interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholdersSound business communication skills, with the ability to produce quality professional reports and stakeholder communicationsResults focused approach, with the ability to identify and prioritise problems and collaborate with others to achieve successful outcomesExperience in leading and supporting a team to be responsive to customer needs (either internal or external)Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to assess large volumes of information, analyse data and maintain a high standard of care for data integrity
