Purchasing & Client Relations Co-ordinator

About the role

Working closely with the General Manager, you will be responsible for monitoring stock levels and co-ordinating purchasing requirements across our school uniform ranges. This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys working with numbers and stock, analysing sales information, keeping on top of orders and ensuring the right stock is available at the right time.

Key responsibilities

• Monitoring stock levels and identifying replenishment requirements

• Preparing and placing purchase orders with approved suppliers

• Reviewing sales history, current stock levels and upcoming requirements to assist with ordering quantities

• Assisting with our larger seasonal and annual indent orders

• Monitoring out-of-stock and low-stock items and taking appropriate action

• Following up outstanding purchase orders and expected delivery dates

• Maintaining accurate purchasing and stock records

• Checking incoming stock against purchase orders where required

• Assisting with stocktakes and stock reconciliations

• Providing support in our showroom and warehouse when required

About you

• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail

• Confident working with numbers, spreadsheets and stock data

• Able to look at sales history and stock levels and identify future ordering requirements

• Comfortable managing multiple orders, priorities and deadlines

• A clear and professional communicator

• Reliable and able to work independently

• Comfortable working as part of a small team where everyone helps when required

• Competent with Microsoft Excel, Outlook and general computer systems

• Previous experience in purchasing, stock control, inventory, wholesale, retail operations or administration would be highly regarded
