Systems Engineer

About the role

ACH Group is seeking a customer-focused Systems Engineer to join our Digital Services team. This role provides professional ICT technical support across ACH Group, helping employees and customers access reliable technology that enables great service delivery. Reporting to the Infrastructure Lead, you will act as an escalation point for ICT issues, support service desk activity, manage endpoint platforms, assist with Windows Server administration, maintain ICT assets, and contribute to continuous improvement across Digital Services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide responsive ICT support and resolve escalated incidents, service requests and problems within agreed service standards.
• Administer endpoint provisioning, patching, compliance and lifecycle management using platforms such as Microsoft Intune and Samsung Knox.
• Support application packaging, deployment and maintenance through approved software deployment tools.
• Administer identity and access management, including user accounts, authentication and group membership.
• Monitor backup operations, maintain asset data and support basic Windows Server, network and Wi-Fi troubleshooting.
• Work with vendors and internal stakeholders to escalate, resolve and document ICT issues.
• Contribute to projects, continuous improvement initiatives and user training as required.

About you

• Experience supporting Windows 11, Microsoft 365, Active Directory and Exchange.
• Knowledge of Windows Server 2016 through to current versions.
• Networking knowledge across switching, wireless and VPN technologies.
• Experience installing and supporting software and hardware.
• A proactive, customer-focused approach with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively with a culturally diverse workforce.
• Current driver's licence and ability to travel across ACH Group locations as required.
• Relevant Microsoft certification in Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server Hybrid Administration or Endpoint Management (desirable).
• Diploma or higher qualification in Information Technology or a related discipline (desirable).
• CCNA or equivalent networking certification (desirable).
