Popular bakery cafe in Ferny Grove hiring FOH team members

Flourish Bakery - a beloved artisan bakery cafe among north-western Brisbane communities is opening its second location in Ferny Grove Central, the long-awaited brand new shopping center in Ferny Grove.

Not only famous for its massive range of hand-crafted bake goods, modern on-the-go savories and top-tier coffee, the bakery is also well-known for its vibrant team of bubbly inspiring people.

If you love food, can't live without coffee and obsessed with making people smile, you are welcomed to join our thriving lively front of house team.

Your duties will include but not be limited to the following:

• Store open set up: packaging, preparing different bakery products to be displayed on shelves.
• Arranging/refilling cake, food and drink on display.
• Making artisan focaccia, sandwiches and other fresh food items.
• Slicing breads, heating pies, merchandising, assisting back of house with packaging, and handling food.
• Making barista coffee and other beverages.
• Providing exceptional customer service
• Taking orders over the counter
• Use of POS register
• EFTPOS & cash handling
• Stock management and workplace food safety compliance
• Cleaning & sanitization of display cabinets and direct work areas.

To be successful in this position, you must meet the following criteria

• Be reliable and hard working.
• Be a team player with good communication skills
• Have a passion for high-quality food and coffee.
• Previous experience within a bakery or cafe environment will be highly regarded
• All paid training will be provided at our existing retail facility for suitable candidates.
