Townsville Grammar School is one of the original Grammar Schools of Queensland. The Year 7-12 campus is located on the original site at North Ward. The School also operates two Junior School campuses, both offering Pre-Prep to Year 6, at Annandale and North Shore.

Townsville Grammar School is a co-educational, non-denominational School with a current enrolment of approximately 1400 students, including 120 boarders (7-12), of whom approximately 25 are international students.

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Physics Teacher to join our high-performing secondary school community. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate educator to teach both ATAR and International Baccalaureate (IB) Physics and contribute to a culture of academic excellence.

As a key member of our senior school, you will work with motivated students who are preparing for university pathways in science, engineering, medicine, technology and related fields. About the Role

You will:

• Deliver high-quality Physics programs across senior secondary year levels, including ATAR and IB Physics.
• Foster curiosity, problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of scientific principles.
• Use data-informed practices to maximise student achievement and academic growth.
• Prepare students for success in external assessments and tertiary study.
• Contribute to curriculum development, innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Build strong relationships with students, families and colleagues.

You will also contribute to the broader life of the School by working collaboratively with colleagues, engaging professionally with parents, and participating in co-curricular activities and School events.

• Relevant teaching qualifications and teacher registration.
• Demonstrated experience teaching senior Physics, including ATAR and/or IB programs.
