Linux Engineer

• 6 month contract that may go permanent 
• The chance to work with mining clients
• Requires Linux Redhat Admin experience 

A software solutions technology provider is seeking an experienced  Linux Engineer  possessing experience in the administration of RedHat Enterprise Linux Servers within large scale environments for a 6 month contract that may possibly go permanent after. The role is located close to the Perth CBD.  

Responsibilities include:

• Provide advanced administration, support and troubleshooting
• Install, configure and upgrade infrastructure
• Consult with the client/ project team to provide technical expertise
• Monitor system performance and reliability
• Support the team through technical deployments and system migrations

Key experience:

• Proven enterprise scale experience with administering Redhat Enterprise Linux servers is required
• Knowledge of  AWS/ Windows/ VMWare environments would be advantageous
• Experience working with Network infrastructure environments (switching, routing)
• Knowledge of ITIL framework / Service Management tools
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement ability
• Relevant certifications / education would be highly regarded

 
Desirable experience:

• Experience with AWS, Nutanix , VMWare, Informix, Pronto AND/ OR Oracle would be advantageous (but not mandatory)
