About the role

We are seeking an experienced Boilermaker to join our thriving fabrication team at Tom's Fabrications in South Gladstone, QLD. As a Boilermaker, you will be responsible for the skilled construction, installation and repair of metal structures and components to the highest industry standards. This full-time role will see you playing a key part in the delivery of critical fabrication and engineering projects for our diverse range of clients.

What you'll be doing

• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications to fabricate, assemble and install a variety of metal structures

• Operating welding equipment such as MIG, TIG and stick welders to join metal parts with high precision

• Performing maintenance, repair and modification work on existing metal structures and equipment

• Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with relevant safety standards and regulations

• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop environment

What we're looking for

• Formal trade qualification as a Boilermaker or similar metal fabrication discipline

• Experience in welding techniques

• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and work orders

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-based environment

• Current forklift operating licence would be highly regarded
