What we are looking for: 

• A strong leader, invested in hands on leadership and leading by example.
• Menu development and design with direct and clear communication with the Owner
• Pro-active management of food and wages costs and any other KPIs as directed by management.
• Oversee inventory, procurement, and cost control.
• A team first approach with a passion for growing and developing chefs.
• A team player, we're a small kitchen and all work together.
• Bursting with passion for produce and a seasonal and local menu.
• In-depth knowledge of produce and suppliers from the Northern Rivers.
• Excellent communication skills and time management.
• Ability to work a rotating roster.
• Have a current working visa in Australia.

Who you are

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as Head Chef
• Premium a la carte experience from a fine dining restaurant
• Ideally experience in high end wedding and events
• Very strong and clear communicator across all levels
• Strong passionate leadership skills with a proven ability to inspire and motivate a team.
• A strong understanding of safe food handling procedures.
• Self-motivated, professional, with a strong attention to detail.
• Thrives working part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• A genuine passion for great food and produce.
• Well-presented and punctual.
