Bring Your OSHC Experience to Broome

BOSCCA is looking for a full-time Educational Leader/Nominated Supervisor based in Broome, WA.

This opportunity is specifically suited to an experienced OSHC professional ready to bring their knowledge of school-aged care into a key leadership position.

Reporting to the OSHC Coordinator / Nominated Supervisor, you will lead educational programming and pedagogy across the service, mentor and support educators, and help maintain high standards of quality, compliance and care.

More specifically, you will:

• Lead the planning, implementation and evaluation of engaging, play-based programs 
• Mentor and guide educators to strengthen practice, confidence and consistency
• Build positive relationships with children, families, educators and community stakeholders
• Support compliance with the National Quality Framework and relevant regulatory requirements
• Contribute to the development and implementation of the Quality Improvement Plan
• Promote reflective practice and continuous improvement across the service
• Support child safety, inclusion and wellbeing across all programs and activities

What You’ll Bring to the Role

To qualify, you will need a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent), along with demonstrated experience working within an OSHC environment. Previous OSHC experience is essential for this position.

You will hold, or be willing to obtain:

• Valid Working with Children Check
• Accredited Child Protection Training
• Current First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management certifications

Additionally, the following will be highly valued:

• Experience leading, mentoring or supporting OSHC educators
• Sound understanding of the National Quality Framework and child protection requirements
• Experience supporting educational programming and continuous improvement
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Degree in Early Childhood Education or another relevant qualification

A natural people-person, you will lead by example, build strong relationships and bring a collaborative approach to supporting and mentoring educators. You will balance initiative with sound judgement, bringing the energy and consistency needed to help both educators and children thrive.
