C Fulton is one of Melbourne’s leading Garden and Building Supplies companies, with more than 50 years of experience servicing landscapers, builders, trades and the general public across Melbourne.

We are looking for a motivated and capable Branch Supervisor to join our team at Carnegie.

This is a great entry-level management opportunity for someone who is ready to take on more responsibility, lead a small team and play an important role in the day-to-day operation of a busy branch.

You don't necessarily need previous management experience. What matters is that you are confident, reliable, organised and prepared to make decisions and take responsibility.

The Role

Working with a small team, you will be responsible for helping manage the day-to-day operations of the Carnegie branch, including:

• Leading and supervising a small team

• Organising daily workloads and staff priorities

• Providing a high level of customer service

• Making day-to-day operational decisions

• Managing customer orders and deliveries

• Using our computer and point-of-sale systems

• Monitoring stock and maintaining presentation of the branch

• Ensuring the yard operates safely and efficiently

• Operating a forklift and front-end loader

• Assisting customers and loading vehicles when required

• Working closely with senior management and other C Fulton branches

This is a hands-on supervisory position. You will be expected to lead the team, but you will also work alongside them and get involved in the day-to-day operation of the yard.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Is reliable, organised and punctual

• Is proficient with computers and comfortable learning new systems

• Communicates well with customers and staff

• Can work independently without needing constant direction

• Is practical and comfortable working in a hands-on environment

• Is willing and able to operate machinery

Previous forklift or front-end loader experience would be an advantage, but it is not essential.

If you don't currently hold the appropriate licences, C Fulton will provide training. However, you must be confident that you have the ability and willingness to learn and, within a short period, safely operate both a forklift and front-end loader as these are an important part of the role.

Experience in landscaping, building supplies, transport, construction, retail, warehousing or a similar environment would be beneficial but is not essential.
