2IC Occupational Health Nurse – Clinical Support

MyHealthCK is seeking an experienced Registered/Enrolled 2IC Occupational Health Nurse – Clinical Support to join our team in Burswood, WA. This is a full-time position offering a unique opportunity to provide clinical leadership and support within our occupational health services. As the second-in-command, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality occupational health nursing care, managing clinical operations, and supporting the clinical team to achieve excellence in occupational health and pre-employment medical services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and support to the occupational health nursing team, ensuring adherence to best practice standards and protocols

• Assist in the management of clinical operations and coordination of occupational health services across client organisations

• Conduct occupational health assessments, health surveillance programmes, and workplace health initiatives

• Develop and implement evidence-based occupational health nursing interventions and health promotion strategies

• Maintain comprehensive and accurate clinical records and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements

• Provide clinical advice and support to managers and staff regarding workplace health concerns and risk management

• Assist in the training, mentoring and professional development of junior nursing staff and support workers

• Contribute to the planning, development and evaluation of occupational health services and programmes

• Liaise with external stakeholders including healthcare providers, regulatory bodies and workplace representatives

• Support incident investigation and management related to workplace health and safety matters

About You

We are looking for a Registered or Enrolled Nurse who is confident in their clinical skills and ready to take on additional responsibility within a supportive leadership role.

You will ideally have:

• Current AHPRA Registration

• Previous experience in occupational health, pre-employment medicals or a similar clinical environment

• Strong clinical knowledge and attention to detail

• Confidence supporting and mentoring other nurses

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• The ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team

• Strong organisational and time-management skills

• A proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues

• A commitment to clinical governance, quality and patient care

• The ability to remain calm, professional and solutions-focused in a busy clinical environment
