Senior Administrator / Weighbridge Operator

Metal Biz Recyclers is looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Administration / Weighbridge Operator to join our team at our Rocklea site.

This is a diverse role that combines office administration with weighbridge operations and plays an important part in the day-to-day success of our business. You will be responsible for accurately processing customer and supplier transactions, maintaining records, supporting our operations team, and ensuring the smooth flow of vehicles through the weighbridge.

• Operate the weighbridge system and accurately record incoming and outgoing loads.

• Issue weighbridge dockets and process customer and supplier transactions.

• Perform data entry, filing and maintain accurate electronic records.

• Coordinate with drivers, customers and the operations team to ensure efficient site movements.

• Answer phone calls and respond to customer enquiries in a professional and friendly manner.

• Schedule collections and assist with transport administration where required.

• Maintain accurate records of material movements and inventory.

• Assist with reporting and general office administration.

• Ensure compliance with company procedures, environmental requirements and safety standards.

• Support and mentor junior administration or weighbridge team members when required.

• Work closely with other departments to ensure excellent customer service and efficient operations.

• Previous experience in administration, weighbridge operations or a similar role.

• Experience in the recycling, transport, waste management, logistics or industrial sector is highly regarded.

• Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office and data entry.

• Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work well under pressure.

• Professional communication and customer service skills.

• A positive attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Current driver's licence (preferred).

• Forklift licence or willingness to obtain one (advantageous).

• Knowledge of recycling materials and industry processes is desirable but not essential.
